Kyrene de las Brisas is committed to building a culture of excellence that provides the best learning experience for children. We have a proud tradition of being an Excelling School and meeting the needs of our diverse student body. Central to our success is our community spirit. We share a common Vision, engendered by our staff, to inspire students to love learning, empower them to reach their potential, and nurture them in a culture of PEACE (Pride, Effort, Achievement, Character, and Excellence).

We believe in educating the whole child and take seriously our charge to give students the tools they need for success in the 21st century. To this end, we are committed to our Mission… to do what’s best for kids to ensure their success. This Mission keeps us grounded and focusing on what matters most yet allowing us the flexibility to respond to students’ needs and adapting to changes that impact education. We collaborate with all stakeholders in building relationships, defining goals, facing challenges, and planning for the future. We are busy building a successful tomorrow...one child at a time!

We are driven by School Goals, embedded within our Vision, in our pursuit of excellence:

Inspire students to love learning – Our accomplished and dedicated staff light the pathway for learning. They engage our learners in ways that capture their imaginations and challenge their intellects. It is our goal to inspire students to love learning, including through the Arts which are valued as a crucial part of a child’s learning experience at Brisas.

Empower students to reach their potential – We believe in all of our students and teach them to believe in themselves. Our students are challenged to meet and exceed rigorous curriculum standards. It is our goal to meet their needs as individuals through differentiation and systematic, research-based intervention as needed.

Nurture students in a culture of PEACE – It is our goal to teach our students Lifeskills® and leadership principles so they have tools to be successful as citizens and in life. These skills are woven seamlessly into our school’s culture. PEACE is the watchword of our school behavior management plan as well as the acronym for our Core Values:
